Your Fall Skincare Reset, Sorted at the Merle Norman Studio
The routine that got you through August is about to stop pulling its weight.
Hill Country summer is all about surviving the heat: light layers on your skin, blotting papers in your bag, the lightest moisturizer you own. Then October arrives, the air dries out, the heater comes on at night, and that same light routine suddenly feels like it isn't quite enough.

Good news: you don't have to start over. A fall reset is usually two or three swaps, not a whole new shelf. Our Merle Norman Studio has been helping Marble Falls women make exactly those swaps since 1972.
1. Trade up on moisture
This is the swap that matters most, and it's usually the only one people actually need. If your summer moisturizer felt perfect in July and feels thin now, step up a weight:
- Daily Moisture Cream and Nightly Moisture Cream, the straightforward day-and-night pair
- Moisture Rich Facial Treatment, when you want something with more cushion to it
- Aqua Bliss Moisturizer, for a lighter finish that still has some substance
- Matte Oil-Free Moisturizer, because oily skin still needs moisture in the fall. It just doesn't want shine with it.

2. Rethink your cleanser
A cleanser that suited you in humid weather can feel stripping once the air turns dry. The studio carries Aqua Bliss Cleansing Lotion, the Brilliant-C Cleanser, and Foaming Cleanser in both Normal/Dry and Normal/Oily, plus Micellar Water Makeup Remover for a gentler first pass at the end of the day.

3. Let nighttime do the heavy lifting
Fall is the season people finally get around to a real night step. Ask about Nighttime Recovery Creme, Retinol Night Complex, and Anti-Aging Complex Night Cream, and about eye cream while you're at it. There are several, they're not interchangeable, and picking one is easier with someone in front of you than from a website.

4. Add a mask or a pad for the in-between days
The Clarifying Clay Mask and the Purifying Peel-Off Charcoal Mask are both in the studio, and the Glycolic Rejuvenating Pads are the no-fuss version of the same idea. Either way, it's the lowest-commitment way to add something to a routine you otherwise like.

5. And your lips, which take fall the hardest
Fall is also when lips notice the change first. Merle Norman's five limited-edition Tinted Lip Balm shades are in the studio, and the Natural Lip Oil is worth a look too.

The best part: trying it costs nothing
Merle Norman consultations at Accents are always free, walk-in or by appointment. We'd suggest calling ahead so we can dedicate a team member to you, and so you're not choosing between a night cream and an eye cream in the ten minutes before we close.
Want to read up first? Our guides on skin types and building a daily routine, Merle Norman's skincare systems and what a studio visit is actually like cover the rest.
