How to Measure
How do I measure my bust?
Tribal's instruction: place the tape under your arms and have someone measure around the fullest part of your chest, with your arms down. Arms down matters — raising them changes the number.
How do I measure my waist?
Measure your natural waistline, at the narrowest part of your waist. Not where your jeans sit.
How do I measure my hips?
Stand with your feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips.
How do I measure an inseam?
From the top of your inner thigh down to the bottom of your ankle.
Any general tips?
Tribal says to use a loose measuring tape and measure directly on your body rather than over bulky clothing.
Honest Caveats
Does Tribal run true to size?
Tribal has never published a statement either way, so we are not going to claim one on their behalf. What we can tell you is that their chart is detailed and reliable — measure yourself and go by the numbers.
And come try things on. We know how each of our brands fits, and that is faster than any chart.
Does Tribal make petite or tall lengths?
No petite or tall range is published anywhere by Tribal. Inseams are listed per style instead — we have seen everything from 26.5" to 31" depending on the cut. If length is your issue, ask us and we will point you at the styles that work.
Is this chart definitive?
It is Tribal's own published chart as of September 2026, and we have corrected one obvious typo in their XS row. Brands do update charts quietly, so treat Tribal's live size chart as the final word if anything ever looks off.
