A short finished with a cut edge rather than a turned and stitched hem, so the bottom stays raw. It is the classic denim short finish, and Mica makes it as a high rise.

Shorts with wear built into the denim by design, such as abrasion, fading or small openings. Our Mica distressed short has come through in a black grey.

Our Mica shorts are sized in letters rather than jean numbers, typically X-Small through Large and sometimes up to X-Large. That is different from the jeans, so check the size list on the style you are looking at.

Mica builds the two groups on different size runs. The full length jeans mostly use numeric waist sizes and the shorts mostly use X-Small to X-Large. If you are ordering one of each, do not assume your number and your letter will match.

The pair we carry states 98% cotton and 2% spandex, so it is a mostly cotton short with a small amount of give. Fabric varies style to style at Mica, so treat that as the answer for that short rather than for the line.

Yes. Alongside the shorts, Mica makes cropped versions of its main leg shapes, including a crop flare, a cropped wide leg and a wide leg capri.

A jean cut to finish around mid-calf, shorter than an ankle length and longer than a short. Mica has made it as a wide leg.
