It depends entirely on the style. Mica publishes a fibre breakdown per style, and the ones it has published range from a mostly cotton denim to blends carrying substantial polyester or viscose. The composition on your own pair is on the sewn-in label.

None of the Mica compositions we have seen published is 100% cotton. Every one of them carries at least some polyester, viscose or spandex, so if a pure cotton denim is what you are after, call us at (830) 693-7573 and we will check the label on what we have.

Many of them do, but not all, and the amount varies. Mica runs both a stretch denim and a rigid denim collection, and on the stretch styles the elastane content it publishes has been small, in the region of one to two percent. Check the label or ask us at (830) 693-7573.

Denim woven with a small percentage of elastane, usually only a few percent, so the fabric gives as you move and recovers afterwards. It is why a stretch jean can fit closer without feeling tight.

Denim with no stretch fibre in it, so it holds its shape and moulds to you over time instead of giving straight away. Mica lists rigid denim as its own collection.

The pair we carry states 94.5% cotton, 4% polyester and 1.5% spandex, which is why it holds a pressed front seam and still has a little give. That is the answer for that style, not for the line.

Washing less often and drying gently is what helps most, because heat is what tires elastane. Again, the care label on the garment sets the rules.
