Anarchy Street Bracelets: Bangles, Cuffs and Stretch Sets
Bracelets are the deepest part of the Anarchy Street range at Accents Boutique, and stainless steel hinged bangles are the heart of it. Here is how the styles differ, what they are made of, and how to pick one, from our store in Marble Falls, TX.
The bangle styles
What Anarchy Street bracelets does Accents Boutique carry?
Bracelets are the largest part of what we buy from the brand. The range runs to stainless steel hinged bangles, chain link bangles, cuffs, stretch bead sets and a few woven straw styles. Call (830) 693-7573 and we will tell you what is in the case today.
What is a hinged bangle?
A hinged bangle is a rigid bracelet with a concealed hinge on one side, so it opens to go over your hand and closes flush. It gives you the solid look of a bangle without having to squeeze it past your knuckles.
What is the difference between a bangle, a cuff and a stretch bracelet?
A bangle is a closed rigid ring, often hinged. A cuff is rigid with an open gap you slide onto the wrist. A stretch bracelet is strung on hidden elastic and simply pulls on, with no clasp at all.
Which Anarchy Street bracelets have no clasp?
The stretch styles and the open cuffs. Our stretch bead bracelets are strung on hidden elastic and the cuff styles have an open back, so both go on without fastening anything.
What is the clover bracelet range?
Clover is a recurring motif across the brand’s bangles. We carry it as a single clover station, a double clover, a triple clover with a pave row, and clover ends on a hinged bangle, several of them set with mother of pearl.
What is a pave bracelet?
Pave means the stones are set close together across the surface so very little metal shows between them. On our Anarchy Street bangles that is usually a row or a trim of small cubic zirconia stones.
Materials and finish
What are Anarchy Street bracelets made of?
It varies by piece, and each listing states its own breakdown. Across our bracelets you will see stainless steel, brass, zinc, alloy, cubic zirconia, mother of pearl, acrylic and resin beads.
Are Anarchy Street bracelets stainless steel?
Many of our bangles are, and those listings say so, some at one hundred percent stainless steel and some blended with acrylic for a stone or clover inlay. Others are brass, zinc or alloy, so check the individual piece or ask us at (830) 693-7573.
What does gold dipped mean?
Gold dipped is a plated finish, meaning a layer of gold over a base metal rather than solid gold. Anarchy Street uses the term on its own pieces, and it is not the same thing as solid gold.
Is Anarchy Street jewelry solid gold or solid silver?
No. The brand’s pieces are plated or dipped finishes over base metals such as brass, zinc, alloy and stainless steel, and the listings give the material breakdown. We would rather tell you that plainly than let a finish name mislead you.
Is Anarchy Street jewelry hypoallergenic or nickel free?
Anarchy Street does not publish a hypoallergenic, nickel free or lead free claim, so we are not going to make one on its behalf. If you react to certain metals, call (830) 693-7573 and we will read you the exact material breakdown before you buy.
What is cubic zirconia?
Cubic zirconia, often shortened to CZ, is a clear faceted stone used widely in fashion jewelry for its sparkle. It is what gives the pave and station detail on several of our Anarchy Street bangles.
What is mother of pearl?
Mother of pearl is the iridescent inner lining of a shell, cut and polished into an inlay. On our Anarchy Street pieces it shows up most often as the pale centre of a clover.
Fit and wear
What size are Anarchy Street bangles?
Anarchy Street does not publish a bracelet size chart, so there is no official measurement for us to pass on. The honest answer is to try one, and we are glad to measure a piece for you if you call (830) 693-7573.
Will a hinged bangle fit a smaller or larger wrist?
A hinged bangle is one width, so it suits some wrists better than others. Because the brand publishes no sizing, the only reliable test is wearing it. Come by 212 Ave H in Marble Falls and try a few on.
Can I stack Anarchy Street bracelets together?
Yes, and several of the stretch sets are designed for exactly that, arriving as coordinated multi strand stacks. Mixing a hinged bangle with a bead stretch strand works nicely too.
Can I wear Anarchy Street bracelets in water?
The brand publishes no water or wear guidance, so we will not promise you one. As a general habit we suggest keeping fashion jewelry out of showers, pools and hot tubs, and call (830) 693-7573 if you want to talk through a specific piece.
